no, SEP is only supported on Windows and MAC. GUP is only for windows. SEP client needs to talk to SEPM, SEP linux client will not talk to SEPM, hence this is another reason for LInux client not be GUP.

sorry, you can stop and start smc service by go to start --> RUn --> type the commands . what was the value you were entering in the debug logging? have you set and ADC policy on the client to save client registry modification

can you post the sylink log from GUP machine?can you try restarting the smc service on the GUP machine? if the GUP machine is not able to contact the SEPM there might be chance that it may not have taken new policy.
