I've spoken with a SYMC BESR level 2 support person, he stated that he was going to bring this issue up with management and suggest a fix get into the next BESR SP. Hope this helps :)

In BESR 2010, V2IMount was replaced by GenericMount.sys. The BESR 8.5 uninstall should have removed the V2IMount registry keys. Hope this helps :)

You could mount the backup on the server were you have BESR installed. Right click on the backup and select mount, once mounted you could use xcopy or robocopy to copy all of the files. Hope this helps :)

BESR should check if restoring Windows 7/Windows 2008 R2 and not allow setting the Windows partition active. PS: Your correct Windows 7/Windows 2008 R2 the System Reserved drive should be marked active!!!

Is it possible to insert a generic Intel NIC and disable/remove the BroadCom NIC and boot the SRD? The BroadCom NIC uses a RIS driver for WinPE and I've had some models not load correctly in WinPE. Hope this helps :)
