http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/sep-client-not-updating

Hi guys...

The problem i'm having is that two client pc are not connecting to the sepm management server...

Things I have tried
1. Uninstalled completly the sep on the client pc using cleanwipe and reinstall it by puch to deploy method..
- Sep virus definition shows to be 21 November 2008.. and on "toubleshoot" management> the server status is "offline"

2. I have used smc -stop, then copied the "sylink.xml" file from a working client pc then replaced it to the not working one then did smc -start again.. but same result..

3. I have ran the sep_support tool, no particular errors was found.. just showed that the definition was outdated and showing up a link to download the latest definition update.. tried that as well which will update the definition but not solving the communication problem of the client to the sepm...

Any sugguestions will be much appreciated.. cheers..

http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/error-when-entering-support-id-mysupport-website

I posted this in the NetBackup forum and it was suggested that I might try posting it here also.

I'm trying to open a NetBackup issue in MySupport and every time I try to enter my support ID, I get the following error:

Thank you for your patience.

I've been trying to do this since Friday. I've followed the link to try to contact Symantec Technical Services, but my reports of this error have gone unanswered.

Is there anyone on this forum that can help me? I apologize if I posted this in the wrong forum.

Thanks,

http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/installmaster-81-windows-7

Hi,

Can someone tell me whether Wise Installmaster 8.1 still works in Windows 7. Our company is planning on migrating to Win7somewhere in 2010 and asked me to investigate some of the older tools we are using.
I know it's already "ancient" software but it still meets our needs so I would greatly appreciate some feedback on this.

Thanks in advance,
Kind regards,
Chris

http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/systemworks-keep-deleting-my-login-cookies

SystemWorks keep deleting my Login Cookies! I want it to stop deleting my cookies! I have already set everything I know of to stop it form doing this it seems to delete my cookies every week, or two weeks, or so. I mean when I go to any websites that I need to lg on, it no longer has my log in info and I have to manually put my use r name and password in, and that lasts until the next time it is deleted off my computer. This has been going on for a few years, but I had totally had enough!

I have been using Symantec/Norton products for many, many years. Please, that has got to be a way to make this stop.. I am ther only one that uses this computer, and this security insanity goes to far! It is insane and this paranoid programming needs ot let us samne people have normal settings.

Thanx..

please, what setting can I set to stop these programs from running amuck deleting my info?
