Dear Symantec, I am trying to use the Symantec SMP Components in WF 7.1 and to this end, I used the Compile Report for the Components in my Project to get the documentation out of the Components. It is really nice to see such a useful function in the Manager, but this a virtually useless as there is no documentation included in the Components themselves! Actually, why not document EVERY standard component in the library, but can you please start with the SMP Components? Kindest ...

When ServiceDesk processes emails with embedded images it creates an attachment for each image but leaves the stripped image placeholders. This makes viewing the emails very clunky and it doesn't look good. Either leave the images in the email or else create the attachements and then remove the stripped image placeholders. I'd prefer the first option if that is possible.

In ServiceDesk SP1 the permissions to the document libarary are set to allow Support I, Support II and Service Managers to have full permissions and then it sets it so All Users can have read/upload permissions. This is incorrect as All Users should not have the right to access all the documents. An example of this would be a worker does not have the right to work or view the incident but can open up potentially confidential data. Permissions on the documents should only be given to the ...

Permissions are set on the history and chat web parts so if you don't have the correct permissions you won't be able to view but I would like the permissions set on the description web part as well. Sometimes important/private information is put in the description and this needs to only be viewed with workers that have the correct permissions.

Today setting for Business hours can only be set for the same time every Mon-Fri. We have several customers that deviates from this schema, they have different business hours on fridays mostly.

On the resolve task when a user reopens an incident it goes to the Support I group or when the incident is resolved tasks are assigned to Support I, Service Managers and Administrators. This task should be changed to the person that resolved the incident as the person that worked on the incident knows it best. Reassigning it to a group is an extra reassignment that we have to do.

With the lock down of the SD.IncidentManagement there should be a way to set permissions on smart tasks so that only people that need to use them, see them. This will cut down on the number of smart tasks that users without permissions will see and ensure that smart tasks will not accidently be used by workers such as Problem and Change Management.

There needs to be a way to allow us to be able to print tickets that show ALL the details without the scroll bars present. The way it is now is not very good and this needs to be fixed. Workers in Payroll or HR often have to print incidents in order to get approvals for things and while it is not efficient, it is a need for some companies to have this feature.

Trying to troubleshoot an error that happened to a specific incident can be hard to do as there is often a lot of errors that are logged. Please add the ReportProcessID to the create log components so that we can better troubleshoot things quicker without having to sort through all the error records. I have done this in our customizations and it is fairly easy to do.

Pastel green and yellow/biege do not go very well together and it's about time that Workflow/ServiceDesk allow us to change and choose the colors without having to go in and change the CSS file.
