This year's Vision content highlighted a fantastic number of new product announcements that demonstrate Symantec's commitment to deliver solutions for Cloud, Virtualization and Mobile.

This year’s content was delivered in three phases emphasizing Symantec’s vision as presented by Enrique Salem in the first day keynote, followed by the Portfolio Strategy update from Francis deSouza delivered as part of the Product Vision and Strategy Forum. During the four PVSF sessions customers and partners had an opportunity to see a drill down of Symantec’s core product strategies in Storage and Availability Management, Information Management, Security and Endpoint Management, and Mobile.

A number of great product highlights included the announcement of the SFHA 6.0 solutions launch, helping to clarify how you can ‘Get the Private Cloud you want from the Infrastructure you've got’, the O3 solution providing the first holistic security layer above the Cloud, and DLP for iPad to protect your company’s sensitive data.

Finally, a spectacular number of 120 breakout sessions and 50 labs provided technical insight into the complete Symantec portfolio while highlighting our strategic ability to help customers address their key requirements in productivity, agility and cost effectiveness.

Make sure to look out for the conference presentations which will be made available in the coming weeks.

Symantec Vision 2011 in numbers:

Hey Benjamin - glad you had a blast in 2011 - we're working hard to make 2012 even better.

  • Vision 2012 in North America will be held in Las Vegas, the week of May 7 - 10th.
  • Vision 2012 in Europe will be held in Barcelona, the week of October 8 - 11th.

The dates and locations of the single day Vision conferences hosted in Latin American and in Asia Pacific will be announced early next year on the updated Vision 2012 website which will be launching on November 28.

We'll also be reaching out to our conference attendees to get their feedback: what is keeping you up at night? What can we present at Vision to help you be more empowered in your job using Symantec solutions?  What do you need more/less of at Vision?  Vision is for you - so help us build the 2012 curriculum and the Vision 2012 experience.  Stay tuned for more information and details!
